Futo Hotel

This is a proposal for a high-grade hotel with access from the sea to the wharf overlooking Mt. Hakodate. This project, which will be a reconstruction of a large warehouse, aims to create a special hotel on the special land of the wharf, which will also contribute to the tourism industry in Hakodate City, and searched for a hotel that could only exist in this location. Guests will access the hotel by chartered boat from downtown Hakodate. In response to the client's request for a "Renaissance style," we extracted the elements of "rhythm, repetition, and symmetry," and explored a form of style with a modern interpretation. Thirty-four guest rooms float in a forest of concrete structures, overlooking the ocean and Hakodate. ​​
